22nd Sunday of the Year CHURCH NOTICES Sunday 31st August 2025
1. Our Monday evening devotions continue as usual with Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament at 6.30pm. This is followed at 7pm by Rosary, Novena Prayers and Benediction. Our Rosary this week will be specially offered for the people of Gaza & Ukraine and for an end to war.
2. We pray a special blessing on the Dominican Chapter that is happening up in the Priory at present and especially on our newly elected Provincial, fr John Harris OP, who was chosen to lead the Irish Dominicans over the next four years.
3. Advance notice of our Dominican pilgrimage to Knock which takes place on Sunday, the 12th of October this year. The St Aengus Bus will leave at 8.30am sharp and arriving in Knock at 12.30pm. Cost per seat is €40 including refreshments on the way down & sandwiches/tea/coffee on the way back. Early booking is advised.
4. Next Friday is the 1st Friday and there will be an extra Mass in honour of St. Padre Pio at 7pm followed by a blessing with the relic.
5. Copies of the most recent Vine Newsletter and the Irish Catholic are available at the back of the Church.
6. Thank you to all who contribute weekly to the Church Envelope Collection by way of Envelope or Standing Order to the Bank. We appeal to every family to lend their support. If you do not already have a box of envelopes, there are some available at the back of the Church.
