28th Sunday of the Year CHURCH NOTICES                   Sunday 13th October 2024

1. Our Monday evening Devotions continue as usual, with Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament at 6.30pm.  This is followed at 7.00 p.m. by the Rosary, Novena Prayers and Benediction. We recommend this devotion especially during the month of October.

2. You are asked to pray for the success of the Synod gathering in Rome during this month of October. The theme is For a Synodal Church: Communion, Participation & Mission. Copies of the most recent Synod newsletter for this week are aa weekly are available at the back.

3. The Annual Dominican Pilgrimage to Knock takes place this weekend.  We wish all our Pilgrims a safe journey. 

4. The Enrolment Mass for children making their Confirmation next year will take place during the Vigil Mass (7pm) on next Saturday 19th October. 

5. Our Lady of Mount Carmel Firhouse are hosting a 50th Anniversary Concert.  Full details on the Poster at the back of the Church.  

6. Thank you to all who contribute weekly to the Church Envelope Collection by way of Envelope or Standing Order to the Bank.  We appeal to every family in the Parish to lend their support to this most important collection.  There is also the option of donating by using the DONATE button on the Parish Website.  If you follow our Mass on the webcam we appeal to your generosity to consider making a donation by using the Donate Button.  

7. The Churchgate Collection is for the Local Conference of the St. Vincent de Paul.  We ask you to show your usual generosity.  Thank you.

Please Pray for Trevor Sheridan (St. Aongus) who died recently (and whose funeral will take on Tuesday next at 10am.  Also pray for Peter Gunning (Bancroft) and Ann O’Brien (Kilnamanagh) whose funerals took place earlier this week.
