20th Sunday of the Year         CHURCH NOTICES           Sunday 19th August 2018

1. Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament continues here every Monday throughout the day after the 10.00am Mass & concludes with Rosary and Benediction  & Devotions at 8.00pm.

2. Mass times on next Sunday, 26th August, (day of Papal Mass)  will be the same as usual except for 10.30am Mass which will be cancelled. Mass times Vigil Sat at 7pm; Sunday 9am & 12noon. No 10.30am  Mass.

3. Good News for parishioners travelling to the Papal Mass in the Phoenix Park on next Sunday. A shuttle bus service will operate from 8am leaving the Bus Hub at Stocking Lane and bringing patrons to the Chapelizod Bypass. There are 2 pick-up points along the Castletymon Road – the nearest is stop 2424 which is at St Joseph’s School.  The same bus service will bring parishioners home on the same route in the evening. The ticket you will receive for the Papal Mass can also be used as a bus ticket on the day. We are advising parishioners travelling to the Mass to give themselves plenty of time for travel and to come down for the bus around 9.30am or earlier if they wish. Don’t forget to bring your papal stool.

4. All who have booked a ticket for the Papal Mass should collect same from the Sacristy or Parish Office during the coming week. Also a special Mass booklet called “Magnificat” which has been prepared for the Papal Mass.

5. We are appealing to parishioners to decorate their homes in advance with a Papal flag and/or Papal bunting as a way of expressing our welcome to Pope Francis on his 1st visit to Ireland as Pope.  Cead mile failte!!

6. Garda Vetting – It is now a legal requirement that all people involved in ministry in our Church must be Garda Vetted. If anyone requires any assistance whatsoever completing their form please contact the Parish Office. We can arrange confidential help to complete the application.
7. The Parish Lotto draw was not won last week.  Next week’s Jackpot will be €1,900. Tickets available after Mass & from the usual sellers.
