Church Notices

2nd Sunday of Advent        CHURCH NOTICES           Sunday 8th December 2019

1. The feast of the Immaculate Conception of Our Lady is celebrated this year on Monday, the 9th of December. Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament will take place here from after the 10am Mass & will continue throughout the day. It will conclude with Rosary & Benediction & the Miraculous Medal devotion at 8pm.

2. Next Sunday will be Reconciliation Sunday here in St Aengus’s. Each Mass will begin with a short service of Reconciliation during which it will be possible for you to make your Christmas Confession. Visiting priests will be available to help.

3. An Advent  Reconciliation Service organized by the Tallaght Deanery of parishes will  take place up in St. Mary’s Priory Church on Tuesday night next, the 10th December at 7.30pm. All are welcome

4. The St Aengus Christmas Raffle takes place in the Penny Black on next Thurs 12th Dec at 9.30pm. Please return your tickets in good time.   This is our Christmas Fundraiser and we appeal for your support.  For anybody who didn’t receive any tickets the last few are on sale at the back of the Church today.

5. We thank all who contribute weekly to the Church Envelope collection by way of Envelope or Standing Order to the Bank.  The new envelopes for the coming year have been distributed.  If you do not have a box of the new envelopes and would like your family to contribute, there are boxes available at the back of the Church or from the Sacristy.  We would appreciate if you would put your name and address on the front of the envelope.  For those who live outside the Parish & have been contributing, Patricia has your envelopes in the Sacristy.  We appeal to every family in the parish to lend their support to this most important parish “bread & butter” collection.

6. The Parish Lotto draw was not won last week. Next week’s Jackpot will be €1,600. There are extra prize-vouchers for local stores to be won each week on the lead up to Christmas.  Tickets available after Mass & from the usual sellers
