The Parish Pastoral Council

Our Parish Pastoral Council was formed following a request from the Archbishop that all Parishes in the Dublin Diocese should form Council by Lent 2005.

A nomination form went out to the parishioners with a request that they nominate someone that they felt would be a suitable candidate to take part in this council. A list was drawn up from the returned forms and a meeting was held with the nominees to explain in greater detail what the purpose of the council was.

This meeting was sub divided into smaller groups to further discuss the needs of the parish and how the PPC could assist with these needs. The Term of office for serving members was set at two years. As a result of this the following sub groups were formed or re-structured.

  • Youth Ministry
  • Faith Formation
  • Bereavement
  • Liturgy
  • Outreach
  • Communications

Recently a new sub group was set up to deal with the Finance issues of the Parish.

The members of the Council are:
